The story has as its protagonist Gon Freecss, a 12-year-old boy who wants to find his father at all costs, so he decides to become a "Hunter", just like him, and somehow find his whereabouts. As the story progresses, Gon befriends three other aspiring Hunters: Leorio, Kurapika, and Killua, who accompany him on his adventures. In Brazil, the manga has been licensed and published by JBC since 2008.
