Maidens Cove Braai and picnic spot is situated between Clifton and Camps Bay. It is a well maintained area with security patrolling and they do check that no alcohol is consumed on site. The little beaches within the area are fairly sheltered but the multiple rock pools make it safer for children to enjoy the fresh cold water of the Atlantic ocean. There is no shade so an beach umbrella or some form of shade is always a good idea to protect yourself from the harsh african sun. They do have ablution blocks for your convenience.
