The beach of Limnionas in central Evia with its black-red pebbles from the Aegean Sea is about 50 kilometers east of Chalkida, the island's capital, and the route takes about an hour.

The Aegean beach of Limnionas is bounded by the slopes of the mountain in a large bay divided into two beaches by a large rock.
The right and bigger part of the beach is closer to parking and taverns, while campers are confined to the beach and below the trees. The left and smaller (but not small) section of the beach with the cave and steep rocks attracts more campers. The beach has a very interesting seabed with rocks, rocks and enough fish so do not forget to take your mask or your waterproof camera with you.
To the right of the beach is the rock, the so-called island of Baker, an Englishman, who has bought a large house there, on the small and steep narrow streets of this beach.
There is a landscaped car park right on top of the beach which has changing rooms and showers.
On the beach there is also a fillet for beach volley, which however most of the day with hot black sand and pebbles is not suitable for play.
High on the beach there are trees where you can find shade (although most of the time they are occupied by the campers) in case you do not mind the distance of some tens of meters from the sea.
The beach is long enough and as it is wet from the Aegean Sea, it is very easily affected by the winds, so it is advisable to consult the forecast of the meteorological service before you begin.
Limnionas is a harbor and for some fishermen and taverns above the beach (weather and moon) they usually have good and fresh fish. There is no organized section on the beach so anyone who wants a sunbed and umbrella will do well to bring your own.
How would I go there
From Chalkida and heading to Evia we pass N. Artaki and continue to Psachna. From Psachna we head towards Kondotispoti and follow a route with several turns that ends in the village Agia Sophia just 4 km from Limnionas beach. The road has good quality asphalt but several turns and uphills in a beautiful mountainous pine path.
Free camping in Limniona, Evia
Several are the ones who choose the beach of Limnionas for free camping despite the relative ban on the law. Those who catch the shade of the trees at the beginning of the beach, while the others are concentrated on the left side of the beach (as it is bounded by the rock in the middle).
In the surrounding area there is a small building with two toilets and a shower, while in the area there are beautiful taverns.
Limnionas is a fairy beach in Evia! It has amazing sand and thick pebbles, with crystal clear waters and incredible tranquility, while in recent years it is particularly cosmic. The sea is deep enough. In the first 4-5 steps in the sea you do not hit.
In the surrounding area you will find 1-2 canteens in which you will be able to buy coffee refreshments and sandwiches, while there are just over the beach 1-2 taverns. You will also find 2-3 hotels of a small capacity, so if you want to stay in one of these you better have booked before.
Beach Petali in the heart of Evia is a wild beauty beach with sand and small pebbles on the Aegean side! The beach is quite wide and the route to our access is impressive! Petali beach is a very beautiful and picturesque beach. It is located behind the mountain of Dirfis and is washed by the Aegean Sea. On the beach and at the bottom there are pebbles and if you want to enjoy your coffee or your food against the background of the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea, there is a café-tavern at Petalis beach. The beach is also preferred by many for free camping.
Η παραλία Λιμνιώνας της κεντρικής Εύβοιας με το μαύρο-κόκκινο βοτσαλάκι που βρέχεται από το Αιγαίο απέχει περίπου 50 χιλιόμετρα από την Χαλκίδα και η διαδρομή γίνεται περίπου σε μία ώρα. Η παραλία διαθέτει πολύ ενδιαφέρον βυθό με πέτρες, βράχους και αρκετά ψάρια οπότε μην ξεχάσετε να πάρετε μαζί σας την μάσκα σας ή και την αδιάβροχη φωτογραφική σας μηχανή.
