One of the biggest issues when it comes to rewilding is people don't want, what they don't know. There's so many of us that just don't really know what wild spaces actually are.
I think if more communities were to come together, to make sure that we do have these wild spaces, and they don't need to be big, that's the thing. Even just small pockets of land. The UK doesn't have space for very large spaces to rewild (but we could). It's not on the forefront of people's minds and hearts enough yet. But I think if we were to make room for smaller spaces like this, we would gradually start to appreciate this wilderness more.
Just knowing that you've got these animals around you. It's just a sense of wonder in past things into perspective, you know? We need to make room to rewild Britain is so important. We need to connect back with nature. We need that connection. Once you've actually got that once you've felt that there's nothing like it.
What's wrong with letting things grow wild? Britain is so used to seeing pretty gardens. It's like a giant garden. You have to kind of look beyond that and see beauty elsewhere. See the beauty and the insects and all the habitats it's formed. What has been there and what could be there? see the beauty in the smells, the sense of colours. This revives us guys, this makes us who we are. Let's make room for this wilderness.
Start small and we'll just keep growing. So think about your area. Think about where you live - are you aware of any areas of land that could possibly rewild, just start talking to other people start gathering ideas together. It's so so important. That's how these things happen. communities and it can start just with one person. And that could be you.
We need to be out in nature. We need to connect with nature for us, for the animals for wildlife, the environment. We want to save this planet. We need to start really thinking about what we can do to restore it.
