In a way, the game becomes fun and exciting once the haters are this strong since it motivates you to play it safe and avoid fighting like you would in some early parts of the game. Suddenly frongus and fluffy fungus become useful again.
Since I just wanted to get to the top again though, I wasn't appreciating it taking 20-30 minutes to clear each floor and was raging every time I had to fight a dodgerolling, million hp having, every-other-bullet-does-no-damage ass, rage move shotgun, chip damage nail gun, never-not-strafing kamas fucking bullshit fucking hater. The rest were fine.
Bosses were fun once the strategy finally became clear. Screamer pits actually become worse above 200 because they immediately spawn 2 at a time and are tanky as fuck. Definitely need mushrooms to beat them without dying. Every other boss is doable without them though.
Run circles around MAX and you're fine. Run away from Crowley's meteor attack and you're fine. His lightning bolts can be predicted by observing where it flashes and jumping out of the area before it strikes. All of Taro's attacks can be avoided (though difficult). The only one I call complete bullshit on is Jackson because of his lasers.
I couldn't see a pattern to them, so as far as I'm concerned they're random as fuck. If you're in his line of sight, he'll follow you and they're faster than a sniper rifle so good luck dodging. If you're hiding behind a pillar he'll either fire them at the pillar you're hiding behind(which they will pierce through and still one shot you) or somewhere random if you're lucky. The only thing I did which helped was crouching once I hid behind the pillars. Usually if he fired the lasers at me they would go over my head but even then sometimes he would still shoot them at an angle to hit me, so it's unpredictable. Idk, maybe infinite dodge rolls is the strategy, but I'm not sacrificing two decal slots for the Jackson fight.
