Group exercises are great to enable the team to discover each other’s values. In this exercise each person will gain insight into his own most important team value. During the exercise, the group will realize that everyone has different values concerning teamwork. 🔍

1. In addition to values, you can also execute this exercise with other topics. For example, you can use the topic “challenges”. In the first round, each team member names what he thinks is the most important challenge the team is facing. For example “getting things done on time”. In the next round everyone picks a challenge card and a name card and tells the rest of the team how he thinks these two relate to each other. For example how Jane relates to the challenge “getting things done in time”.
2. In the second round, you can let each person pick only a value card. He will then choose a person from the circle to explain how he thinks that person relates to that value. Because he chooses a person himself it might make it easier to explain the relationship between the value and that person. In this variation, you don’t have to write down the names of the participants on the cards.
