Use a sturdy base, like a tripod, to mount the camera so that the camera doesn't shake and cause unwanted motion blur in your photos.
Using a remote, shutter cable, or the timer on your camera can further reduce the risks of camera shake.
Try starting with an aperture of f/11 so the details of the fireworks don't get lost in the highlights.
Try setting your shutter between 5-30 seconds depending on how many fireworks you want in a single frame.
Turn your auto focus off and manually set your focus so your images is sharp right where you want it to be.
