The Record MIDI to Track Here allows you to record the output of the stock Logic Pro MIDI plugins. It allows you to record what the plugin (Or plugins) is doing to your passage as MIDI notes in the piano roll. It was introduced at version 10.7.5 so it won’t be available if you are on a previous version. Not to worry though, as I am demonstrating a method on how it can also be done on any version and it’s arguably preferable as you don’t have to play the part live unlike the Record MIDI to Track Here function.
