How to install Android Studio in Linux | Install Android Studio in Linux using Terminal Commands
Hello friends!
This is another video in which you can learn how to install and run the android studio software in the Linux mint operating system. I will tell you step by step to install and open the android studio.
Step 1
You first open the terminal and check the jdk version with the following commands.
$ sudo apt install openjdk-8-jdk openjdk-8-doc
$ javac -version
Step 2
In the next step install the android studio pack from the link http://developer.android.com/sdk/inde...
Intsall the necessary packeges with the following command
$ sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 libncurses5:i386 libstdc++6:i386 lib32z1 libbz2-1.0:i386
Then unzip the downloaded file and go that directory using terminal with the command,
$ cd Download
Step 3
Then move the extracted pack from the following command in the folder of opt located in your home directory.
$ sudo mv android-studio /opt
After that run the following command
$ sudo chown -R root.root /opt/android-studio/
Step 4
Then run the android studio by using this command
$ /opt/android-studio/bin/studio.sh
Android Studio installs the development SDK in the user's home folder.
Follow the instructions to complete installation to user's home folder (in /home//Android/SDK)
Android studio will successfully opened and you can create the project and install the required libraries.
