India's Space and Geospatial Ecosystem: Driving Startup Growth and Economic Opportunities
In his keynote address at the Make in India event hosted by the Geospatial World Chamber of Commerce on September 2024, Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO and Secretary General of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), emphasized the growing importance of the geospatial and space industry ecosystem in India. He highlighted India’s achievements, including the rapid rise of over 50,000 startups and more than 115 unicorns, many of which emerged post COVID. Dr. Mehta reaffirmed PHDCCI’s commitment to driving sectoral growth across multiple industries, pledging full support for geospatial advancements and expressing enthusiasm for ongoing engagement with industry stakeholders.
