"Wellerman" is a sea song from 19th century that became a worldwide hit from TikTok.
The story behind this huge hit began when Nathan Evans from Scotland, who had a unique background as a former postman, posted a cover video of "Wellerman" on TikTok. The video went viral worldwide, and after Wellerman’s popularity grew, he was signed by major label Polydor. His new version "Wellerman (220 KID & Billen Ted Remix)" became a huge hit, spending two weeks at No. 1 in the UK and reached the top spot in 10 countries including the UK.
