Guitar Shopping at Tokyo's Famous Ochanomizu Guitar Street!
I didn't think I'd be back so soon, but that's okay because the Ochanomizu Guitar Street is one of my favorite places to shop for guitars (not just in Tokyo, Japan, maybe the world)! There are so many guitar shops here and of course a ton of great finds can be had from Fender Japan, Ibanez, ESP, Tokai, Greco, and more. There are also a surprising amount of USA Fender and Gibson from modern to vintage guitars. It's a guitar buyer's paradise for sure.
Ochanomizu got its name during the Edo period (1603 - 1868) and literally translates to "tea water", after the nearby Kanda River from which water was extracted to make the shōgun's tea. Today, it's known for its guitar and musical instrument shops. Let me know which guitars you liked and your thoughts on Ochanomizu!
