I've often seen recommendations for people to get maximum amount of RAM their computer can handle. looking at their future computer spec list It didn't make sense why they would spend so much on RAM even if their CPU is not top of the line. Surely that extra cash would be better allocated toward a more powerful CPU instead. In this video I test how much more ram actually makes a difference in video editing, using both final cut x and Premiere Pro with Windows 8.1 and OS X El Capitan.
