This video is about preparing to give a university lecture series. Part of my job as a university lecturer requires teaching, I teach a mix of lectures, lab classes, tutorials and project supervision. Teaching first year through to masters and PhD students. Sometime I have to write new module content or I may be asked to takeover teaching a class from another academic. Today I chat about the latter - how I get prepared when I am taking over a module. Usually I'll gather together the existing notes on the course, read the module descriptor, look at the assessment structure and time plan and then work through the content... preparing lecture by lecture to make up the module. I like to mix up my lecture content, a mix of talking, activities, questions, clips, maybe even the occasional demonstration!
