The songs Giagatika Ya Githingithia and Gachungwa, which made him famous, are likely familiar to anyone who grew up in the early 1990s and had the luxury of owning a radio cassette.
Seeing a chance in the comedy business, he wrote numerous screenplays, recorded them, and returned in 2000 with Njaramba and Githingithia, which would later become his trademark name.
He was fortunate enough to receive a warm welcome from his uncle after traveling to Nairobi in pursuit of greener pastures. He met the late, great Joseph Kamaru through an old acquaintance, and after volunteering at the icon's studio, he worked his way up to becoming the legend's voice assistant on live events.
Githingithia came up with a script which would make the country to recognize him. Giagatika which was born and recorded with debt at Studio Sawa by Mzee Kanyotu would see him receiving advertisement calls from bank CEOs and radio station whom he would work later with.
