After 8 years of learning to sew, I sewed Ezio’s outfit from AC2, as accurately as I could. Sadly it recently disintegrated. I had to take the red lining out of it and wash the pieces so the white wouldn’t turn pink from the red fabric, but sadly I came home after buying some materials to revamp it, I discovered that despite being on a gentle wash cycle and the the stitching holding together fine, the white part of it had fallen to pieces and been shredded. I had used the last of my money that I had from my job, which I no longer have, to make that and had spent hundreds of hours on it. Seeing my months of hand sewing go to waste has absolutely devastated me. It was my crowning achievement and I have no money to sew it again. I love you guys so much.

I hate to ask you guys, but I’m gonna be a beggar here and ask for donations to my PayPal. I’ve been too mentally unstable to work (I’m in therapy and working to get myself well enough to work again) but this costume was very very important to me, and I would be so glad to have the money to afford the materials again. I’m not asking for a lot, because the costume has cost me over 200$ to buy materials for and create, but even a few dollars helps immensely. I love you guys and I truly hate to ask for charity, but I’ve been miserable after losing this. If you can spare a few dollars, I would be so grateful. Thank you guys for being amazing and for being a great community.
Here’s the story of how I fell head over heels for fictional men.
Ezio is the one that started it all.
Back in 6th grade, my friend introduced me to Assassin’s Creed. I had been telling him about my trip to Italy the summer before school started, and his face immediately lit up.
“Have you ever heard of Assassin’s Creed?”
I’d vaguely heard of it, and my father had once made Connor’s Tomahawk for a customer (he’s a blacksmith) and I knew there was a cool axe. He went over to the computer (this was during Tech Ed class) and pulled up a picture of Ezio.
“This guy is Italian like you!”
At the time I didn’t really care, but another person at the time gave me their copy of Assassin’s Creed 3, and I had so much fun with it. My dad bought a copy of 4 because he likes pirates, so we were playing those.
And then I finally decided to look up a let’s play of AC2.
And let me tell you, the minute that dashing man walked out on screen I fell in love.
I was OBSESSED, and it was not in a good way.
I talked about him nonstop (at one point I claimed that my last name was Auditore because I’d married him, fucking cringe) I
I even made a cheap costume of him (made from an old white hoodie I painted and an old t-shirt, and that’s also what started my love of cosplay. Problem was I wore it everywhere and it got nasty. Looking back, I also don’t blame the other kids for making fun of me for all this, even though it fucked me up pretty bad.
Ezio became a role model for me. Seeing how he interacted with people helped me develop a bit of charm and a wish to help everyone I could in every way I could. To this day when I’m having a bad day or I’m feeling depressed, sometimes I imagine him giving me a hug and telling me it will be all right, or I will ask myself what he would advise me to do in a tough situation. He has gotten me through a lot of shit, and his VA Roger Craig Smith inspired my dream to be a voice actress. If I ever meet him, I’m going to thank him.
Ezio became a very important character in my life, and someday when I have the money, I’m getting a tattoo of him. Not just because I think he’s hot, but because he has changed my life in a lot of ways, and inspired me to be the kind of person that will always fight for justice, and for the people around me.
