What is Acceptance Testing? Software Testing - Interview Question
Acceptance testing is like giving the software one final check before going live to make sure it meets all the business requirements and is ready for customers. It's the last step where it's verified if the application does what it's supposed to from a user's perspective. For example, if it's an e-shopping app, then in acceptance testing it will be tested if users can successfully browse products, add them to the cart, make payments, and receive confirmation emails. Acceptance testing will be done in a UAT environment and will be performed by Product Owners, Stakeholders, and some selected End Users from the customer side. Everyone collaborates to ensure that the app works as expected in real-world scenarios. If everything checks out, it's ready for launch; if not, it goes back for fixes.
