Tatsu Prime is the direct successor of Tatsu. However, it's still objectively worse than Pennant or Tenet Livia, so it's awkward. Want a raw damage Heavy Attack 2H Nikana? Pennant has better raw crits, and even has an bonus attack speed passive scaling off kills. Want a light attack spam, or slash-based heavy attack 2H Nikana? Tenet Livia has better crits and better slash weight than the Tatsu Prime.
The only thing Tatsu has going for it is fashion frame, and the projectile gimmick. I previously covered the Tatsu Projectile gimmick in a Chroma video to nuke Demolysts with it, but that's the only way you can even make it work. It's too easy to miss it, and you only get one chance; so for L9999, it's useless.
As a heavy attack weapon, it would have performed much better than shown here for Expedite setups, but then it's just a worse Livia, and Knightmare already showcased a Heavy Expedite Livia in his Hokage Rhino video last year. So this time, we check to see if a light attack setup in the weakest 2H Nikana family can still do it, with no buffs. It can...just barely. I wouldn't recommend this, and ironically, it would have actually worked out on Tenet Livia much better, and Pennant would have destroyed with its massive crits if I chose to go heavy forced slash for Expedite.
Fun, and scales until about L2000, then you really start noticing the damage struggle for Steel Path Demolysts. For trash fodder though, ez pz no issues there, albeit still slower than the better 2H Nikanas, or just other good melee in general.
DE, please give 2H Nikanas a new, better stance. It's been 4 years, and 3 years since you screwed up Wise Razor into the abomination it is today.
