War Cake * Depression Cake * Poor Man's Cake + Pumpkin Spice War Cake - No Butter, Milk or Eggs!
This is a recipe called War Cake, Depression Cake, and Poor Man's Cake. It is very cheap to make and it uses no eggs and no milk. It is called War Cake because people used to make it during WWII when certain ingredients were rationed. You can make it in two loaf pans or in a tube pan or Bundt pan.
After I filmed this video, I decided to make the recipe again, but this time, substitute some canned pumpkin for the butter and some pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon. It came out really well that way also and it's a great cake for anyone who is vegan or does not eat any animal products at all. It can be made with no milk, no eggs, and no butter! It's also heart healthy since it's a no fat cake.
