Google Engineer Claims AI is Sentient
An employee at Google who has had conversations with and AI called LaMDA is convinced that this particular AI is sentient but Google claims that's false. How would anyone know who is right? How could you tell the difference between AI that is sentient and AI that is just really good at copying and imitating?
