kylie and kendall recently sat down for a very unscripted sisterly heart to heart, where kylie cried over mean comments and people discussing her looks. and whilst i personally empathise with her, i do have to question why she chose to create so many businesses - based on her looks?! the thing is, if you're going to draw attention to your physical attributes (which kylie absolutely does), then it is inevitable that people are going to discuss them and have opinion (both positive and negative) on them. kylie has more money that the majority of us will see in 10 lifetimes, so if fame and public scrutiny is causing her distress, why not step out of the spotlight? no one is forcing her to remain in the public eye, or to continue garnering attention, so if it's not what brings her joy anymore, maybe it's time to retire...? even if its just for a little while?
no one likes to have negative things said about their appearance, i know i certainly don't - but when you're in the public eye, it's going to happen. it's an unfortunate reality. there's also the uncomfortable fact that kylie is a huge contributor to the unrealistic beauty standards we're all held to these days, which has caused a lot of people to wonder why she thinks its appropriate to then cry on camera about people holding her to the very beauty standards that she herself has helped maintain?
regardless, kylie seems to have a heart of gold, and be a wonderful friend, sister and mother. who cares what she looks like on the outside, when her soul seems to be so lovely?
