Dear friends, we recently visited the ancient city of Akko. This city, with an amazing history of ups and downs, is about a thousand years older than Jerusalem.
And you will not hear any famous historical names that have visited the city. This is the Apostle Paul, and the famous Rabbi Maimonides, and Richard the Lionheart, and the first traveler in the world, Marco Polo, and more, and more. For the possession of Acre has been constantly fought since the time of the Egyptian pharaohs. Akko even managed to visit the capital of the Crusaders, and then rolled down for several centuries to a fishing village. And of course everyone knows the name Napoleon Bonaparte. And Napoleon unsuccessfully tried to attack this miserable fortress, as he himself spoke of Acre. And the pathetic fortress turned out to be too tough for the future emperor. And without salty slurping, he got away. Now - this place is visited daily by thousands of tourists and pilgrims from all over the world. I think Akko has long deserved that we filmed a detailed story about him. And what do you think?
