How to Turn Off DMs on Discord | Close Direct Message on Discord
In this video, I’ll be teaching you how to turn off DMs on Discord in 2021. Getting DM (Direct Message) anytime can be annoying. Especially, when you’re in an important discussion or while playing the game. Well, there is a way to not get notified when you receive a DM from your friends.
Discord is a VoIP, instant messaging, and digital distribution platform designed for creating communities. Users communicate with voice calls, video calls, text messaging, media, and files in private chats or as part of communities called "servers". Discord is the easiest way to talk over voice, video, and text. Talk, chat, hang out, and stay close with your friends and communities.
First of all, click on the user settings icon right beside your discord id. Once you click on it you’ll be headed to another page where you’ll see various functions provided by discord.
Then, you’ll have to click on the ‘Privacy & Safety’ option from the left menu bar of the screen. Once you’re in your privacy and safety, you’ll see an option where it says ‘Allow direct messages from server members’ by default this option is turned on. I want you to turn it off. And a pop-up will appear then click on ‘Yes’.
And your DMs will be turned off.
