Write your own simple AJAX GET Function in JavaScript
At times it can be tedious to constantly write out the multi-line logic to make an AJAX call in your JavaScript code. Until the Fetch API becomes compatible across an ideal amount internet users, it may come in handy to have a simple HTTP GET function available in your code.
In this video I demonstrate how to write your own AJAX GET function which can be used to create basic HTTP GET Requests within your JavaScript apps. You are also able to pass in a user-defined callback function as normal.
Once you've implemented this function in your own code you can then add it to a personal JavaScript library as a helper function or make it available throughout your entire web application!
