To make a birdhouse with your own hands, I took a sheet of extruded polystyrene foam three centimeters thick. Transferred dimensions. And cut it with nichrome thread. The thread was connected to a 24 V step-down transformer, and the transformer was connected to a Chinese dimmer to regulate the voltage on the nichrome thread.
If there is no nichrome thread, you can cut it with a grinder, jigsaw, knife or hacksaw.

It is better to make the roof removable.

I placed a dummy chimney on the roof.
After that I applied one layer of water-based paint. Then I applied three coats of rubber paint. It performs several functions at once. Protects from moisture, ultraviolet radiation and reinforces the surface, making the coating elastic. Rubber paint can be applied with a brush, roller, or even a paint sprayer.
After drying, I spray painted the roof bright blue. I made the entrance white. The finishing touch was painting the pipe.
