Dr. Ostapova shares the challenges endocrinologists face when working with insurance companies to get pre-authorizations for testing and medications for patients, and the impact that these tests and medications can have on quality of life. Finally, she shares the need for more physicians in the field, as many patients wait months for an opening with an endocrinologist.
