Nvidia's RTX 4090 has a very high power consumption, so can we fix it and improve the performance of the card whilst reducing the heat too? In this video, we'll be benchmarking Nvidia's RTX 4090, and showcasing that even dramatically reducing the power consumption of the card, the frame rate of your games is barely affected.
Indeed, reducing the power limit of the card - in some cases, can still allow us to reach higher core clocks with the GPU and improve performance of games; so you get less heat, less noise and less pain to your bank account. In this video, we examine how to change the power limit / power consumption of your RTX 40 card, (although we will focus on the RTX 4090) and how that effects your gaming and ray tracing performance. So just how can you IMPROVE your RTX 4090's performance while you REDUCE the power consumption?
The test system used here is : Intel I9 13900K, 32GB RAM, ROG Strix Gaming DDR5 motherboard, RTX 4090 gamerock card by Palit and Windows 11, using the latest drivers / software updates as of the testing.
