I Overclocked Intel Core i7 950 to 5.86GHz+ - 3 New Record Scores
This is a summary of two different sessions with the Core i7 950 I had recently. The first one was in early November of 2023 when I got the new top score in Super PI 32M for the 950 CPU, and the latter was in mid December after my trip in Thailand. 2 different CPUs were used in those sessions, and the latter one was hunted based on batch number from Japan. It was exactly the same one what the Danish guy Nanok used for his best runs, and it turned out the be nearly identical as his.
The CPU was really bad for multicore testing, only like 5.4x for WPrime, but the single core performance was good. Highest validation 5.863GHz, and new top scores in Super PI 1M and Pifast. The best run 1M was just under 7 seconds. I was almost getting even a better run in Super PI 32M with this CPU, but the test crashed right before finish and I didn't want to run it again for now.
