Ingeniously Simple Way to Make a Personal Brand of the Master for a penny
Today we cut the soap to good use! If you are a sculptor or soap-maker and think that the personal brand of the master on your product is cool, you will definitely love the idea!
You don't need to mirror anything. We cut out the brand as it should look in your work.
Cut out the matrix on a regular bar of soap. Therefore, special tools are not needed, if you wish and with patience, you can scratch and cut everything with a toothpick and a penknife. I used a nail dots and a dummy knife.
If you don't know how to draw, attach a piece of paper to the monitor and circle the translucent drawing.
We carefully outline the drawing with a ballpoint pen.
Wet the surface of the bar of soap with water.
Press the sheet tightly to the soap, press it well. Sketch transferred to soap!
We scratch all the contours with a thin object.
And we begin to carefully cut off all unnecessary.
If I was in no hurry to share the idea with you, I could have cut a completely masterpiece.
The main thing is not to rush. Brush off the soap shavings. When the die is ready, gently wipe it with a damp soft cloth to smooth out the marks from the tools.
I don't throw away the soap shavings, I still have plans for it.
We are waiting for the bar of soap with the finished matrix to dry.
Apply a little acrylic sealant and rub it thoroughly into all the recesses. Then add the sealant and level the surface. Everything, you need to wait until the sealant dries. My sealant dries at the rate of 1 millimeter per day, so to be sure I waited 48 hours to dry.
No complicated mixtures and shamanic dances! Acrylic sealant is much cheaper than silicone. Hands and tools are washed with plain water.
The dry print of the sealant is flexible, the pattern on it is clear. Nothing happened to the matrix on the soap, you can freshen the contours, cut out additional details and make a new print.
The baked clay print also came out great. A piece of soap with a matrix was smeared with liquid petroleum jelly (sold in a pharmacy, it is inexpensive, I used a few drops) and only then I applied clay. This is important, otherwise the clay will stick to the matrix. The same oil was used to lubricate the largest homemade mold with a butterfly. Small - did not lubricate at all.
I am absolutely satisfied with the experience, I figure out what else to do. There is still a lot of sealant.))) I am sure that you can also make molds for modeling from silicone or silicone sealant.
