How to Set Your TikTok Account To Private
On TikTok, you can choose whether to have a private account or a public account. In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make your TikTok account private.
When your TikTok account is private:
• Only people you have allowed to follow you can see your profile and your TikTok videos
• People already following you will continue following you but future followers have to send in requests
• You can still like and comment on any public TikTok video with your private TikTok account
• You can also view any public profiles and follow people.
• People won't be able to Duet, Stitch with, or download your videos.
To set your TikTok account as private or public:
1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top.
3. Tap Settings and privacy, then tap Privacy.
4. Turn Private account on or off.
