The last hike on my solo trip to Peru was to Rainbow Mountain! I have seen photos on Instagram about Rainbow Mountain for years and have always wanted to visit. But I will say that altitude is probably the biggest obstacle I had to overcome. I did not have much altitude sickness prior to Rainbow Mountain, not even hiking Machu Picchu. However, I learned very quickly that going 17,000 feet in the air is not for the week. So let's go on a colorful adventure through the Peruvian hills to Rainbow Mountain.
