In this video I demonstrate how to configure Spam Assassin and Dovecot to automatically catch spam and move the email from the inbox to the spam box automatically. This is a long video by my normal standards, and it is a lot of configuration, but we step through it slowly so that by the end of it spam emails are sent correctly to our spam box, and not our inbox.

Spam Assassin provides us with some strong protection against incoming spam, and is also the first box ticked in the battle to have our outgoing emails legitimised.

In this video, I ask you to use a line of text which will be picked up by Spam Assassin as spam mail, here it is:
