[SOLVED] Straight Talk Group text messaging not working | cannot receive text
If you are using Straight Talk and cannot send or receive group messages SMS and MMS, you can easily fix it by changing these small settings

Group Messages usually uses the MMS or Multimedia Messages Services to send and receive messages, hence if you dont have the proper apn and mms settings configured on your straigh talk phone, chances are that you wont be able to use the group messaging services.
to check the MMS settigns on your android phone, go to:
Settings, More or Connections, then go to Mobile Nework and finallly you will see Access Point Names or APN Settings
from there, depending on which straight talk network provider you are using (t-mobile, att or verizon),you will have your own version of the apn settings, however, please make sure you have these three fields properly setup:
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
also on the APN Type, make sure you have: default,mms,supl
save the settings and reboot the phone
another setting that may influence the group messaging services is the default group messaging setup on your messaging app.
go to the messaging app, settings, advanced, under MMS, where it says group messaging, Select the option that says SMS (and not MMS).
with this, hopefully you can now send and receive group text and mms messages on straight talk
