Register a custom taxonomy using the Product Filter

Welcome to Product Filter for WooCommerce guide.
This guide covers setup instructions on how to register a custom product taxonomy.
To start this tutorial, navigate to Product Filters Advanced section.
Under Register Taxonomy click the Add Item button. An options tab will appear with all our settings.
Let’s under Plural Name enter the name of our taxonomy in the plural. Then under Singular Name enter the same name just in the singular.
The last option is to Use Hierarchy. Enable this option if you plan to have to assign parent terms.
Now, hit the save button, refresh the page and the new taxonomy we created will appear in Products.
Navigate to Products Custom Taxonomy in my case Books, to add a couple of terms. Fill in all the information you need and click add new books.
For the last two of my terms, I will assign a parent term so that we show our hierarchy option.
The only thing left to do now is to add our custom taxonomy filter to the preset we are using.
Go to Filter Presets and choose Taxonomy, click add item button, and under Select Taxonomy pick our books filter. If you scroll down you will see all the regular options which I leave you to play around with I will only enable hierarchy.
Save everything and let’s go to the shop to see the custom taxonomy filter we created.
