Tall Steadicam Tales Celebrates 50 years of Steadicam as twice Emmy-Award recipient and 2023 SOC Television Operator of the Year, Dave Chameides SOC leads a candid conversation with the first ever Steadicam Operator, Garrett Brown. Brown shares never before heard, intimate and often hilarious stories from his years introducing the earliest Steadicams on some of Hollywood’s most iconic productions, including Bound for Glory, Rocky, Indiana Jones, The Shining, and more.
Chameides (Snowfall, Ozark, Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of MacBeth) is also known for his work in sustainability under the nickname “Sustainable Dave” and for his film industry podcast “The Op.”
