This super fun hockey roguelite game just released on Steam TODAY called Tape to Tape! Check out our first impressions and very early Tape to Tape gameplay review!
We've had this one wishlisted on Steam for a long time, and even played the beta a few months back. The beta was pretty limited but overall the gameplay was fun and you could get a sense of what the game was trying to do.
In short, the game feels similar, yet very different, to your typical large studio hockey games. Some features that you might be accustomed to may be missing, but we believe that's by design to allow this game to shine in it's own light. The talents, abilities and artefacts modify each challenge and game so that you're not playing the same game over and over, and the powerups have been super fun to use!
Also, there's no penalties (that we've experienced so far..) or offsides. This is essentially a no-holds-barred hockey game where you're able to select your team's superstars, switch their abilities, and upgrade your bench attributes to help you play the way you want - all while trying to complete the act before losing and needing to restart (albeit with your previous progress carrying over)!
