The AEA N13 is a mid-field active bidirectional ribbon microphone that specializes in capturing fast transient responses due to its 1.2 micron thick ribbon (AEA's thinnest ribbon yet!).
The AEA TDI is a super-clean active direct box which features a circuit designed by Fred Forssell and a beautiful Lehle step-down transformer.

In this video, TDI Direct Box is electric bass pre-pedalboard, Matt's Pedalboard is electric bass through the pedalboard into another AEA TDI, and N13 is micing the bass going through the pedalboard into the Orange Cab.
