This wide rule should be changed
This is my personal opinion that shifting the off-side wide guideline as much as the batsman moves towards the off-side is not a fair rule and should be changed. The reason is very simple - The batsman is taking a risk exposing the wickets and is providing an opportunity to the bowler to take his wicket. While the batsman is making a move on the on-side, increasing the wide margin is actually giving the bowler a much wider range to bowl because the on-side margin is still the same. That is not fair in my opinion.
To support my logic, we can take the fall of Kohli's wicket in yesterday's match against KKR. He was declared catch-out by third-umpire on a full-toss that he hit above waist height. But the hawk-eye suggested that the ball would have below the waist height when it passed the creaze because it was dipping. If the margins for no-ball are not adjusted with the movement of the batsman, the same should apply to the wide ball rule as well.
