Why didn’t Count Dooku say anything before he died?
Cuz he could have told Anakin that Palpatine was a Sith lord or that the Clone Troopers would betray the Jedi!
But in the book for Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover, it actually gives us more detail about this scene that’s not in the movie!
See, before Anakin and Obi Wan enter the room, Palpatine tells Dooku to kill Obi Wan but go easy on Anakin and play with him.
Palpatine also explains that Dooku is to lose to Anakin on purpose and would be arrested to be taken to prison.
But as we see, when Dooku loses to Anakin, Palpatine had other plans.
In the book, right before Palpatine says to kill him, Dooku actually screams out saying, “Please! You promised me immunity! We had a deal!”
And paying no attention to his begging, Palpatine tells Anakin to, “Do it!” which ends Dooku’s life without him saying another word!
