Huawei Releases World’s First Satellite Communication Smartphone
Chinese tech giant Huawei released a high-end smartphone series on Tuesday that supports satellite communication, making it the first telecommunications company to bring satellite communication technology to the mass market.
The Mate 50 series, unveiled during the autumn new products launch held online, can be linked to Chinas BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and allows users to enjoy emergency short-message services from remote locations with no mobile phone coverage.
