STOP Using ETCHER for Image Writing ! Use GNOME Disk Utility for Raspberry Pi OS on SD Card
To install Raspbian OS on an SD card using GNOME Disk Utility 42.0, follow these steps:
Download Raspbian OS:
Visit the Raspberry Pi Operating Systems page.

Choose and download the appropriate version of Raspberry Pi OS for your needs.
Prepare the SD Card:
Insert the SD card into your computer.
Open GNOME Disk Utility.
Write the OS Image:
Select the SD card from the list of devices.

Choose the downloaded Raspbian OS image file.
Confirm and start the process.
Complete:
Once the process finishes, safely eject the SD card.
