As you know, Disk Drill is already compatible with macOS High Sierra. Though it comes not without sacrifices, we managed to offer amazingly simple workarounds to our users that will help overcome certain technical restrictions on the backend of the new OS by Apple. To permit this level of access on macOS 10.13 High Sierra you need to disable file system protection.
The process takes less than 5 minutes of your time
Step #1: Reboot your Mac
Choose the Apple key and then click Restart
Step #2: Boot into macOS Recovery
Mode Hold down the Command (⌘) – R combination immediately after your Mac begins to restart. Hold the keys until the Apple logo appears.
Step #3: Run Terminal app
You need to click the Utilities menu and choose Terminal
Step #4: Disable file system protection
Type the following command: csrutil enable --without fs
Press Return button on your keyboard
Step #5: Back to Disk Drill Reboot your Mac using the Apple menu and choose the Reboot option. Once you are back to your desktop, run Disk Drill software, and proceed with your data recovery as you normally would.
