We’re excited to again host the Global Investigative Journalism Conference.
This year’s conference (#GIJC21) is all online this Nov. 1-5, and we’re offering FREE access to a limited number of journalists through fellowships.
Here are 5 things you need to know:
1.) We work hard to make our conferences as inclusive and accessible as possible. Fellowships are only for journalists in developing and transitioning countries. For a list of eligible countries, check out this link: https://www.worlddata.info/developing...
2.) Part-time reporters whose primary career is journalism are welcome to apply. Experience in investigative or data journalism is a plus.
3.) You need a working knowledge of English, with the ability to understand panel discussions and workshop talks.
4.) The deadline for applications is August 17. Thanks to our sponsors for making the fellowships happen!
5.) Finally, if you’re not eligible, admission to the #GIJC21 conference is just US$100. For that, you get 5 days of how-to panels, and workshops on the latest investigative techniques, data analysis, online research, and cross-border collaboration, plus lots of networking!
