Apple may be eschewing the M3 CPU in its upcoming Mac Mini, with the device set to be released at the end of 2024. The M4 platform, which will run on Apple's proprietary chipset, is expected to be the platform. The 2024 Mac Mini will come in two variants: the standard M4 and the more powerful M4 Pro versions.
The M4 Pro version may have more Thunderbolt ports and improved connectivity, such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth capabilities. The M4 SoC is expected to have an increased number of cores in the Neural Engine for generative AI functions. The base model may also have an enhanced number of CPU and GPU cores.
