Are you considering running Etsy ads but unsure if they are worth it? In this video, I share my personal experience and insights on whether you should invest in Etsy ads, especially for a newly established store. I conducted a 30-day ad campaign, spending $5 a day, and the results were eye-opening.

Before diving into the statistics, it's crucial to understand the difference between views and clicks. With Etsy ads, you pay for clicks, not views. Think of it like a dating app where swipes don't necessarily lead to matches. Similarly, views alone don't guarantee clicks on your ads.

During my campaign, I received an impressive 24,000 views, but only 544 clicks. The conversion rate between views and clicks wasn't ideal. Out of those clicks, I generated 24 orders, with the conversion rate being 4.41%, surpassing the average Etsy conversion rate of 1-3%.

Firstly, I intentionally lowered the prices of my listings and offered significant discounts to attract more sales volume and gather reviews for my new store. Secondly, five out of seven reviews on my store came from customers who purchased products through Etsy ads, establishing crucial social proof.

Lastly, the real value of my ad spend lies in the knowledge gained. Running ads helped me quickly understand which listings performed well and pinpoint areas for improvement, such as optimizing pictures, titles, descriptions, and tags for better SEO. This accelerated learning is invaluable for future success.
