Here are some of the symptoms of knee osteoarthritis.
1. Long-standing knee pain
2. Pain gets worse with time/activity
3. Experience start-up pain when getting up from sitting position or after prolonged rest.
4. Swelling
It is important that you consult your doctor as soon as possible.
In the meantime, here are tips to reduce pain in your knees.
1. Use a heat pack when your knee feels stiff. DO NOT use a heat pack when your joint feels warm and swollen.
2. When your knee feels warm and swollen, use a cold pack to reduce the swelling.
3. If overweight, lose weight to reduce the load and stress exerted on knee.
