The Yokohama Chinatown / Chukagai Spring Parade, part of the Hama-Fes (ハマフェス) Y165 festival, is a vibrant and colorful event that celebrates the rich history and culture of Yokohama's port. Scheduled last May 25, 2024, this parade displayed a dazzling array of traditional Chinese performances, including elegant traditional dances, lion dancers, imperial costumes and marching bands. This event not only celebrates the community's cultural heritage but also marks the 165th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama Port, reflecting the city's long-standing connection with international trade and cultural exchange.
