Stash App vs Acorn App Review 2021
Acorn vs Stash which one is better and why? In this video, I break down all the reasons why Acorn and Stash are good apps but also which one comes out on top.
What is Stash Investment App:
It’s an Investment app that lets you invest in the market and buy fractional shares, and also gives you cash back in stocks. On top of that it also allows you to invest in some ETF. And if you don’t know what that is, I made a video on it, I’ll link it down below. Just to clarify this is a video on the investment portion, not the debit card
What is Investment Acorn: Market 3 million customers paying 1-3 dollars a lot of revenue to cover customer service and make a steller application.
Acorn is an investment app that allows you to slightly adjust a portfolio for you that is balanced according to your goals. Nobel price winning economist designs these Porfilio. And now they also have a debit card that allows you to save and round up your cash in real time: investment, retirement and digital marketing.

No trading fees

Customer service both by Chat and Phone

What I don’t like About Acorn :
Borrow on margins
Let me put money into the ETF I want
Let me be able to sell what I want
Management fees once I hit 1m, just remove them and charge me a fix $ fee
Stash Investment App Pros:
Ability to customize portfolio and pick what you like
Low monthly fee of $1 ( still high ill explain in the cons )
Small minimum investment of $5
Scheduled investments
Roundups
Smart stash: automatically tracks and saves when you can afford it
500k SIPC protection
Transfer from your bank to stash are pretty much instant but sometimes may take 3 business days
Dividends are received in cash and then can choose to reinvest
9:45am and 3:30pm EST. Two trading windows
Education and support
Retirement Fund
What I don’t like about Stash App
1. Lack of Index Funds
2. Management Fees ( can add up to 10s of thousand over the year)
3. No borrowing on Margins
( They Told one of you Guys that its value per Buck, but in reality it's just expensive)
Final Thoughts:
They are both Beginner Products and Eventually people will leave for does things they lack, and M1 Finance has all of this stuff. Just putting that out there, But I don’t recommend the M1 plus features, its not good in value.
