7 Major Changes in the Tax Rules from 1st April |
Come April 1st, 2023, there will be some major changes to the tax rules. 💻📊
Here are the changes:
The new income tax regime will be the default regime from April 1, 2023.
The tax rebate limit has been raised to ₹7 lakhs.
Deduction of ₹50,000 under the old regime remains unchanged and this facility has now been extended to the new regime.
The income tax slabs have changed.
The limit for leave encashment for non-government employees has been raised to ₹25 lakhs.
Debt fund investment will not receive any indexation benefits.
Physical gold conversion to e-gold receipt will not attract capital gains tax.
