The Haneda Festival is a very lively festival, with over 3,000 people carrying mikoshi (portable shrines) and over 30,000 spectators. The mikoshi at the Haneda Festival is carried in a manner commonly known as "yokota" in which the mikoshi is tilted 90 degrees left and right and rolled in a wide motion.When the person on the right jumps up, the person on the left crouches down, and this process is repeated alternately.
